How you can help

Please read our newsletter and pray into our work and plans. Without prayer there can be no success, so we put the highest value on those who are so kind to pray for us – thank you!

Volunteer - Several teams from our ‘partners’ visit Malawi on a yearly basis to train and equip our Malingunde team.
Fundraising - From skydives, organising regular events or committing to fund part of a project.
Donate - give online. Nearly all of our donations are from individuals giving small monthly amounts which allow us to continue the work we believe in and know will succeed over the long term.
Fairtrade - look for Malawian produce in the shops

Volunteer

Our work is strategically structured around U.K. partnerships. These provide a long-term commitment to us as a team and to specific projects. These partners help to develop resources, staffing and the training of the team. Over a period of time these relationships grow and bear fruit. This fruit is passed on and on; this approach provides a wonderful way to achieve quality and long lasting development in Malingunde.

We have annual team visits to underpin and facilitate:

  • Dalitso Health
  • Dalitso Play
  • Dalitso Leaders

As the work and team matures there is less and less scope for hands on work in the villages for visitors. The future of Malawi lies in the training of trainers.

Some of our work is expat free as pale skin can cause long term issues relating to the culture here. We love visitors and working together, but this is done in sensitivity to our values and methodology. These partnership visits are generally a week or 10 days long with a specific itinerary and learning outcomes/sessions for staff and the community.

Fundraise

We love people to help raise the money needed to keep our work with rural Malawians running.

Just Giving is an excellent tool to facilitate fundraising. We have a Dalitso Trust charity account that you can link your event to. After setting up the event, advertise on Facebook/Twitter, email your friends and then let Just Giving do the rest. Just Giving pass  funds directly to the Trust after collecting the gift aid (if people are UK tax payers).

Please drop us an email to tell us what your planning.
